You are trying to establish a point to site (P2S) VPN connection with Cisco AnyConnect VPN client and encounter the following error message.
The service provider in your current location is restricting access to the Internet. You need to log on with the service provider before you can establish a VPN session. You can try this by visiting any website with your browser.
Solution #
Firstly, you can try to check the "Disable Captive Portal Detection" option under the client preferences tab.
Then restart the "Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Agent" Windows Service and try again. If issue persists, check the event logs of the Cisco AnyConnect client from the "Message History" tab and continue your troubleshooting based on the error message.
